About Us:
Teamsters Local 49 was chartered on September 13, 1933 and we presently represent 26 companies in our area. President Bernard L. Tyler, Jr. was elected to office on January 1992, after working at Interstate Container and E. A. Wilson for over 25 years.

Teamsters Local 49 has sponsored different events held by the local Police and Fire Departments. Local 49 has a coalition with the Teamsters Union and AFSCME Local 1705. We have a Strike Force of 75 members that are willing to volunteer to assist their fellow union brothers and sisters when needed.
